Prodwave is meant to be a small little hub for information around tools, techniques and resources for electronic music production. The main point is to keep the content as short and easily readable as possible, while still keeping the quality as high as possible.
Let me tell you a short story about why I've decided to work on this project.
Back in 2014-2015 (when I started to learn electronic music production) I spent hundreds of hours watching and reading guides and tutorials trying to learn the in's and out's of everything. It was a great time to start learning since there already were a lot of people who created guides about almost anything you needed to learn. I did notice one major thing about (almost) all of them though:
THEY WERE FILLED OUT WITH TOO MUCH BULLSH*T.
And with bullsh*t I don't mean that they were bad, because they weren't. Most of them had great information and techniques that I implemented in my own productions, and I'm really thankful for all of that today.
So what's the problem?
Well I felt that I wasted hours trying to watch and read something that could be explained in just a few minutes. So I wanted to change this.
Back in 2015 I started my own YouTube channel called Robn. At first I uploaded mainly remakes and other project files for people to download, but I soon realized that I could create the tutorials I've always wanted as a beginner. So I did.
After a few hundred unconsistant uploads of videos, I've now decided that videos isn't enough. There aren't really any websites that contains short "to-the-point" guides in written form. While I'm not the best writer, I still feel like I can do something about this. So I'm doing it.
